DLT Science Foundation Launches First Round of Blockchain Education, Research, and Innovation Grants
The DLT Science Foundation (DSF) introduces its first round of $5M grants for education, research, and innovation in the distributed ledger technology (DLT) space, fostering collaboration and responsible DLT adoption across industries and society.
PARIS, France, 21st March 2023 — The DLT Science Foundation (DSF), a global non-profit organization launched during Paris Blockchain Week, has announced its first round of grants, comitting $5M in funding across three grant programs for education, research, and innovation initiatives in the distributed ledger technology (DLT) space. Academics from the DSF's university network members are eligible to apply, with more programs to be announced soon.
Dr. Paolo Tasca, DSF Chairman and co-founder, along with Nikhil Vadgama, Director and co-founder, unveiled the grant initiative during Paris Blockchain Week. Dr. Tasca shared his enthusiasm, stating, "This significant investment in education, research, and innovation represents a pivotal moment in the distributed ledger technology space. We are eager to witness the groundbreaking ideas and solutions that will emerge from our collaborative efforts and grant programs."
DSF aims to revolutionize industries and society by empowering cutting-edge education, research, and innovation in DLT through its open network of world-class universities. The initial members include prestigious global research institutions such as IIT Madras, LSE, NUS, UCL, and UZH.
The Foundation's comprehensive set of programs offers support in three key areas: Education (for students, executives, and developers), Research (for academics, Postdocs, and PhDs) and Innovation (for entrepreneurs). This support is provided directly by DSF and through grants to members of the DSF University Network.
DSF aims to address real-world grand challenges through an innovative open collaborative innovation model between academia, industry, and government, translating fundamental research into innovative commercial and societal solutions.
