This event is part of the UZH Blockchain Center Spring 2024 Lecture Series, dedicated to exploring the intersection of blockchain technology and sustainable development practices.

About Dr Cathy Mulligan:

Dr Mulligan is a distinguished Richard von Weizsäcker Fellow at the Robert Bosch Stiftung and serves as a Visiting Lecturer at the Imperial College Business School. She is also the founder of the Sustainable Society Digital Collective. Her research spans several disciplines, focusing primarily on digital sustainable development. Dr Mulligan has an impressive background, blending extensive experience in leadership roles with her academic pursuits. She has authored seven books on digital technologies, contributed to numerous research papers, and holds several patents. Her research projects, funded by a lifetime grant portfolio of £6.1 million, extend across various global regions, including India, Malaysia, the European Union, Australia, and the United Kingdom. Dr Mulligan completed her Master’s in Engineering for Sustainable Development and her PhD at the University of Cambridge. Her expertise has been recognised by the World Economic Forum, where she has served as an expert for over five years, and by her membership on the United Nations Secretary-General’s High-Level Panel on Digital Cooperation in 2018/2019.
